Reg Johnson – Cisco Systems Australia

Reg leads the education practice for Cisco Australia and New Zealand and is a member of Cisco’s World-Wide Education (WW-EDX) team. Reg has 20 years’ experience in the ICT industry in professional sales and marketing management and business development, with the last 15 years focused on the education sector. Reg is also Adjunct Associate Professor at Victoria University. Reg has a deep understanding of the drivers and challenges for education system and institution executives, and the role of technology in enabling digital transformation. He is regularly called upon to advise and speak about the role of digital in transforming all aspects of education; teaching, research and administration.

Reg’s responsibilities include:
• Strategy development Higher Education & Research, Vocational Education and Training and K-12 in Australia and NZ
• Oversight of all education programs and strategic initiatives
• Executive engagement and thought leadership related to the digital education
• Partner and sales enablement.

• Creation of thought leadership publications/presentations across all education sectors
• Design and management of Cisco’s senior executive study tours, most recently to North America, Scandinavia, Singapore and South Korea

• Investments in university research projects spanning digital health to smart cities
